Cross Cultural, Multilingual, Localized, Global Design.
On October 2018 I attended the Wold Usability Congress in Graz , an international premier of user experience and design conference. Two days of providing practical skills to inspire designers and UX professionals for their projects, stretching knowledge and showing how someone has tackled UX and usability related problems.
During my talk at DigitalEntity design studio i went through the most interesting speeches and presentations, focusing on one particular contribute: how to face a cross cultural design project.
Culture is the set of attitudes, values, beliefs and behaviors shared by a group of people, but different for each individual, communicated from one generation to the next.’
The speaker went through a powerful definition of culture, how culture influence language and vice-versa, and gave tasty examples of mistakes of interpretation and perception of design deliverables in different cultural groups.
